The Cubs may be out of sight, but they weren’t out of White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen’s mind on Sunday.

Guillen lashed out at the media for its criticism of Dusty Baker and said the Chicago media had turned on the Cubs manager. Guillen also predicted that they would someday turn on him too.

“Dusty is my friend,” Guillen said before Game 2. “And one thing I’ll say about this town is Dusty Baker was the best manager ever in Chicagoland [in 2003]. And then last year and this year, you guys ripped [the heck] out of that man.”

RATE IT: Game 1 of the Series was off 31 percent from last year’s game featuring Boston and St. Louis. Saturday’s opener did a 9.4 rating nationally; one rating point is worth more than 1 million homes. Last year’s Game 1 did a 13.7.

Missed it by a hare

Plenty of people were trying to buy tickets to Sunday’s game, but it’s likely only one did it in a bunny suit.

The rain and low temperatures didn’t seem to bother 29-year-old Shannon Dixon of Ravenswood, decked out in her Halloween costume of high heels, fishnet stockings, a tiny black dress that she’d decorated with the word “Sox” in Wite-Out and bunny ears.

She’d been at a bar when she decided to come down and join the excitement.

“I’ve got to support the Sox because this is the World Series!” Dixon said.

As of game time, she hadn’t found a ticket.
