Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...
I have believed for years that the prom “tradition” has gotten way out of hand–beginning in 1984 when, after our first child’s prom, parents rented a luxurious hotel room downtown for their daughter and her date to “enjoy” with friends, unsupervised, after the prom.
The “tradition” only went downhill as our following children reached senior year. But in addition to this issue, I think Brother Kenneth Hoagland’s letter eloquently makes the case that schools cannot turn out the kind of people parents expect without the parents’ full interest, cooperation and support. Parents–take back your parenthood!
