Lydia M. D’Andre. Services for Lydia M. D’Andre, 78, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Geils Funeral Home, 180 S. York St., Bensenville, IL. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Mount Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst, IL. Born July 9, 1927 in Italy, she died Monday, Oct. 24, 2005 at Arbor of Itasca. Lydia loved animals, both cats and dogs. Her interest in gardening was extensive and she utilized the harvest well. Her Italian cooking was outstanding and enjoyed by many friends and relatives. As an excellent professional seamstress, Lydia specialized in fancy bridal gowns and other clothing. She enjoyed golfing with her husband after his retirement. They both traveled extensively in the States and Europe. She is survived by her husband, Charles D’Andre; brother, Eraldo Macherine; two nieces and a nephew in Venezuela and one niece in the Canary Islands; brother-in-law, Armie D’Andre of Chicago; stepdaughter, Cynthia D’Andre and her son, Dana D’Andre of Bettendorf, Iowa; and stepdaughter, Terri Levinson of Los Angeles.
