Philip “Phil” Garstkiewicz, 65, of Beach Park, IL, and formerly of Buffalo Grove, IL, and Dowagiac, MI, died on Tuesday, October 25, at Victory Memorial Hospital in Waukegan. Born February 19, 1940 in Chicago, he married Carol Hicks on July 2, 1994 in Des Plaines. Phil was retired from the Village of Buffalo Grove where he was employed as Cheif Mechanic Supervisor. He was a member of the Jerseypine Cruisers Motorcycle Touring Club in Des Plaines. Survived by beloved wife Carol; dear children, Marty (nee Cindy Evans) Garstkiewicz of Spring Grove, IL, Nancy (Paul) Henry of Ocala, FL, Mary Beth (Don Evans) of Waukegan, IL and Nicole Garstkiewicz of Morton, IL; step-daughter, Sandi King; loving grandchildren, Tanya, Philip, Jessica, Taylor, Alex, Nathan and Alli; beloved brother, Clarence (Libby) Gertz of Kentucky; former wife, Florence Garstkiewicz of Ocala, FL; preceded in death by brothers, Gus and Ronnie Garstkiewicz.
