– The Ford Anglia used in the second Harry Potter film, “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets,” has been stolen from a film studio lot, police said Friday. The “flying” blue car went missing from South West Film Studios in the British county of Cornwall; police said it was in poor condition and could not have been driven off on its own power.
– Peter Jackson’s new film, “King Kong,” just keeps getting bigger and bigger, with the BBC reporting it has gone $32 million over budget, and the New York Times reporting that the film — due for release at the end of the year — is clocking in at more than three hours long. But studio executives are delighted with the final film, the Times says. It is unclear who will foot the extra costs.
– The fans in East Rutherford, N.J., roared, MTV.com reports, when rappers Jay-Z and Nas buried the hatchet and a longstanding, very public feud by appearing together onstage. “All that beef . . . is done, we had our fun,” Jay-Z said. “Let’s get this money.”
