I am proud to say that I have been a loyal fan of the Cubs for more than 70 years, but I couldn’t be prouder of our Chicago White Sox team.
Any true fan of baseball must realize that the 2005 White Sox outplayed their competition throughout the playoffs and World Series in every phase of the game.
Their great pitching, tremendous defense and clutch hitting made them a real pleasure to watch.
I feel sorry for any Chicago Cubs fans who can’t recognize and applaud the greatness of this championship team.
My only regret is that some of my friends and relatives, who loved the Chicago White Sox for so many years, did not live to savor this moment with us.
They would have added so much to our celebration.
