– The Bike School of the Chicagoland Bicycle Federation presents a free clinic on “Winter Bicycling Tricks & Tips,” from 3 to 5 p.m. Nov. 5 at Quenchers Saloon, 2401 N. Western Ave., Chicago. Chicago’s Mr. Bike will share tricks and tips on dressing warmly and affordably, handling a bike in snow and ice and keeping the ride running in the midst of salt and sleet. Bike parking available. – The fall Chevy/Vettefest comes to McCormick Place North Nov. 5 and 6. The event will feature some 300 Chevrolets and Corvettes competing for awards in several categories. The event will feature a tribute to the “396 Chevys of 1965,” including three Z16 Chevelles. There also will be a car sale and swap meet. Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.
