John “Jack” J. Dore, of Steger, age 98, died Thursday, Oct. 27 at home, loving husband for 66 years of Elizabeth “Betty”, nee Maloney, Dore; beloved father of John (Paula) Dore, James (Lana) Dore, Kathleen (Michael) Hickey, Elizabeth (Steven) Gass and the late Patrick Dore; grandfather of 10; greatgrandfather of two. Jack was a retired engineer with the Chicago B.O.E. and American Nat’l Bank. He was a member of Moose Lodge, Guilford Waters Club and Local 143 Stationary Engineers. Visitation Sunday, Oct. 30, 3 to 9 p.m. at Steger Funeral Home, 125 E. Steger Road (34th St.), in Steger, IL 60475. Funeral Mass 10 a.m. Monday at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Chicago Heights.
