LST 325 has arrived at Evansville, Ind., where it will be part of a history museum there. The LST 325 was launched Oct. 27, 1942, and commissioned four months later. It landed on the beaches of Normandy during the D-Day invasion of Europe. Nine cities competed to become the home for the LST 325, which had been moored in Mobile, Ala., since veterans brought the ship back from Greece in 2001.
