– Lindsay Lohan and Shia LaBeouf are the newest names to be attached to the “Bobby” independent film project, based on a script by Emilio Estevez and set to be directed by him as well. The project, focusing on the assassination of Robert Kennedy, will begin production this month in Los Angeles. The cast also includes Sharon Stone, Demi Moore, Anthony Hopkins, Elijah Wood and Estevez.

– A comedy backed by Elton John has been picked up by ABC. The pilot, based loosely on John’s life and those of some of his peers, will follow the life of a graying rock star, his manager and other assorted hangers-on, Zap2it.com reports. Its title, “Him and Us,” is also the name of a song on John’s most recent album, “Peachtree Road.”

– Sylvester Stallone, years removed from his last feature film success, is apparently eager to revisit his most famous roles. Just weeks after an official announcement of “Rocky VI” came out, it’s being reported that Millennium Films is partnering with Emmett/Furla Films and Equity Pictures to raise a $50 million budget for “Rambo IV.” According to the industry trades, the plot has Rambo living as a recluse until a girl goes missing and Rambo takes matters into his own hands to find her, Zap2it.com reports.
