When I attended the University Of Chicago in the ’70s, I remember complaining about a bit of ethnic humor published by some Graduate School of Business students in a campus paper.
It was a balance sheet for the Mafia and on the next page was a cartoon mocking the black community.
Being Sicilian I complained about both and was met with monumental indifference by the administration.
The recent uproar about the Thuggin’ Party is not a black versus white issue, just a maroon insensitivity that is common as gargoyles on campus.
