Torture is indefensible.
How in the name of God, or simple human decency, can Vice President Dick Cheney push to exempt the CIA from restrictions on torture? Mistreatment of prisoners is not only sinful but monstrous and criminal, no matter what the purpose. If people treated animals that way, they would be put in jail. Cheney’s position on this is both inhuman and un-American.
