– Is musician Lyle Lovett considering a career in the pastry business? He popped into Chicago’s own Sarah’s Pastries & Candies, 11 E. Oak St., on Saturday and after gulping down two large cappuccinos, Lovett stuck around to watch them make a fresh batch of chocolate-almond toffee, quizzing the staff about the process.
– Lindsay Lohan, Will Smith, Missy Elliot and the dozens of other entertainers at the American Music Awards on Tuesday will each get a “goodie basket” with nearly 100 free items–including the deed to an acre of land on the moon. The baskets will also include clothes, perfumes, watches, BlackBerries and other electronics–each worth about $33,000 total.
