William “Bill” Kinsey, 65, of Zion, IL, died on Saturday, Nov. 19 at home. Born May 29, 1940 in Fremont, OH, he was a member of Our Lady of Humility Church in Beach Park. Bill retired from the U.S. Treasury Department in 1995 as the agency’s Director of Security and was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving from 1958 until 1966. He also was a professional cartoonist and had his work published in several national magazines. Bill was a member of the National Association of Federal Employees and the American Society for Industrial Security. He was a past member of the Chicago Association for Disaster Recovery and a past member of the Writers Guild. He was a loving father and grandfather, had a colorful sense of humor and was an avid coffee drinker. Survived by beloved daughters, Susan (Steven) Miklasz of DeKalb, IL and Elizabeth Kinsey of Naperville, IL; beloved son, James Kinsey of DeKalb, IL; loving grandson, Jacob Miklasz; fond brother, Larry Joe (Lillian) Kinsey of Garrett, IN; several nieces and nephews; and former wife, Carol Tyskling of Zion; preceded in death by father and mother, Wayde and Elise Kinsey; daughter, Jean Ellen Kinsey; brother, Dewey Kinsey; and sister, Tina Nunnley. Funeral Mass Tuesday, Nov. 22, 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Humility Church, 10655 W. Wadsworth Rd., Beach Park. Interment private. Visitation from 9 a.m. until time of Mass at church.
