Newcomers
Florida (4-0) jumped from from unranked to 14th, the most impressive entrance since Georgia Tech moved in at No. 13 in 2003-04. Washington (4-0) was the other newcomer this week, moving in at No. 25.
Moving up
Two wins over smaller programs helped Illinois (2-0) move up from No. 17 to No. 15.
On the slide
Michigan State lost its opener at Hawaii 84-62 and dropped from No. 4 to No. 12.
