We should not be equating success with number of lives lost and pull out of Iraq because the enemy is escalating its attacks. We should be willing to finish the job, not faltering when the going gets tough. The press and those protesting our continued involvement in Iraq concentrate on doom and gloom. We seldom see or hear interviews with our troops or the Iraqi people whose lives have been salvaged. Does one rescue a family from a burning house and leave them to fend for themselves when they have lost everything? We did better at home when the hurricanes brought disaster. I do not like to think America selfish or uncaring, unwilling to go the extra mile.
