Props for AIDS update

Thanks for refocusing our attention on the AIDS epidemic and giving us news about its status here in the USA and Chicago. (“AIDS: The big picture,” Nov. 23)

The article was well-written, and I can only hope that more young people are reminded that HIV and AIDS are still present and still deadly, even in our own communities, and that it is up to us to cure it.
