Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are the proud parents of baby Violet, E! Online reports.
Violet made her debut at an L.A. hospital after labor was induced Wednesday night, according to Us Weekly.
In choosing the name Violet (according to E!), Garner and Affleck set themselves apart from the pack of bizarre celeb baby names in recent memory–Kal-el, Apple, Banjo, Moxie CrimeFighter and Pilot Inspektor, to name a few.
The child is the first for Affleck and Garner, who wed June 29.
Sydney Bristow, the “Alias” secret agent character who made Garner a star, also is with child. Producers of the ABC spy series wrote in the pregnancy after Garner’s was confirmed. The show will end its run in May.
