Andrew Wangall, age 86, of Amboy, formerly of Maywood and Forest Park, died December 2, 2005. He was born in Gillespie on November 30, 1919, the son of Andrew and Anna (Shimkus) Warenaucky. He opened Andy’s Grocery Market in Maywood from 1945-1949, then worked for Jewel Grocery Stores. He then owned and operated Setback North as well as Homer’s restaurants in Forest Park prior to his retirement. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a past member of the Kiwanis and a lifetime member of the VFW in Maywood. He was united in marriage to Helen M. Wilson in Maywood on November 30, 1940. She preceded him in death December 16, 2002. He was also preceded in death by two brothers John and Stanley and one nephew Jerry Wilson. He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2005, at 1:00 p.m., in the MihmJones Funeral Home in Amboy. Military rites will be provided by the Amboy American Legion following the service. Cremation will follow with burial of cremains in Prairie Repose Cemetery at a later date.
