Jay-Z doesn’t want his fans getting their hands on his little black book.

The rapper-turned-Def Jam president signed a deal with MTV Books two years ago to publish his autobiography. Now complete and co-written with hip-hop journalist Dream Hampton, “The Black Book” has been shelved by Jay-Z, citing privacy issues.

MTV Books confirmed the book was being pulled from release.

Jay-Z told Rolling Stone in a recent interview: “I know that people really want to know about me, and I thought I was OK with it, but as it got closer and closer, I said, ‘What am I doing?’ “
