Regarding “Pitter-patter of little feet isn’t for them,” the people you profiled are neither sinful nor un-American. But I would like point out a few things from my own experience as a parent:

– My life will never again be what it was before my two daughters (a 6-year-old and a 2-year-old) were born.

– It is very difficult to go to work sometimes, when one (or both) of my daughters has kept me awake all night, crying or screaming or just wanting a story read to them.

– Singing “Tomorrow” with them one recent day made me happy in a way that words cannot describe.

Some will take my first two points as validation for their decision. As a result, they will never know my third point, and for that I feel sorry for them.
