Anne Binder, nee Sweet, passed away on December 3, 2005, at 85 years of age. She was born in Chicago, IL, on September 9, 1920. Anne knew no boundaries throughout her life. As a teenager she participated in male dominated sports, was “all city” in tennis and played semi-pro baseball. As a young adult she sang professionally with a swing band in the 1930’s. She married her husband, Martin, in 1940 who died in 2000, after 60 years of marriage. Her greatest pleasure came from time spent with family and friends and she will be remembered for her beautiful spirit and warmth. She is survived by her daughter, Madeline, and son, Jeffrey (Rosalie), and grandchildren Mark, Marla, Jennifer, Marisa, Jourdan; and seven great-grandchildren, Zack, Emily, Noah, Mathew, Alexa, Noah and Daniel. She is also survived by her sisters, Eve and Sara, and her twin brother, Hy. A memorial service will be held at Glenn, MI, where Anne summered with her family, on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005.
