Morris J. Schy, 88, died on December 7 at Hospice Home in Burlington, NC. The Roosevelt University graduate and World War II Veteran grew up in Chicago and worked there as a liquor sales manager. He retired to Tempe, AZ in 1979, where he indulged his passions for golf and reading, before moving to Mebane five years ago. “Moishe” is survived by Mary, his treasured wife of 54 years; sons, Steve and Bill, their wives Nancy and Lisa; four grandchildren, Aaron, Michael, Kati and Karyn; and his brother, Albert. He was preceded in death by his daughter Nancy, and siblings Harold and Mildred. He will be laid to rest on Friday, December 9, at the Greensboro Hebrew Cemetery.
