Robert W. Hanson Sr., formerly of Des Plaines and Palatine. A Memorial Mass for Robert W. Hanson Sr., 81, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 10, at Holy Family Catholic Parish, 2515 W. Palatine Road, Inverness, IL 60067. Bob passed away on October 29, after living with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson disease for a number of years. Mr. Hanson was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army Air Corps. He was also very active in Alcoholics Anonymous. After retiring from Prudential Life Insurance he co-founded Vermillion Financial Advisors in South Barrington. He was the father of Laurie (Steven) Cygan of Palatine and Robert W. (Mary) Hanson Jr. of Palatine; grandfather of Anthony, Logan, Colton, Dylan, Alec and Ethan; dear son of the late Walter and Marguerite Hanson; and the brother of the late Walter Hanson. He is also survived by many dear friends.
