Maria “Mary” Fritz, passed away in Tucson, AZ on Thursday, December 8, 2005, to be with Jesus in heaven. She was born on July 12, 1911 in Offhausen, Germany, a beautiful small village in the Rhineland of Germany. She was born in their old family home, a half-timbered house that is 300 to 400 years old and is still occupied by the family. Her loving husband Ernst, preceded her in death in 1970. She is survived by her sister Theresa Pfeifer of Tucson, Arizona; her niece Betty (Max) Schaeffer; her great-nieces Cathy (Bill) Rice and Stephanie (Norman) Krick; and her great-great-nieces Michaela Rice and Katelyn and Kristina Krick; five additional siblings, all of whom lived in Germany, preceded her in death; Johanna, Kathe, Hubert, Aloys and Josef; many other nieces and nephews survive her in Germany. From the time she was widowed, she made her home with her widowed sister, Theresa in Evanston, Illinois, and they spent close to 100 years together. Since 2002 the two sisters had made their home in Tucson, AZ.
