Ralph A. Lauren, 76, Monroe, WI, died at 10:19 a.m., Sunday, December 11, 2005. Born August 31, 1929 in Chicago, IL, the son of John and Hilda (Anderson) Lauren. Predeceased by his wife, the former Marianne E. Edstrom. He was employed as a pipe fitter by Peoples Gas Company, retiring in 1985. Veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the US Army. He was a member of AMVETS Post #243 and Verdandi Lodge. Survivors include sons Richard (Cindy) Lauren and Robert Lauren; daughter Susan (Richard) Rothstein; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters Alice Anderson and Jean Spletzer; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral ceremonies will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, December 15, 2005, McCorkle Funeral Home, 101 Main Street, Durand, IL. Burial in Durand Cemetery.
