Alice E. Nowakowski, nee Schmidt, 89, of Chicago, passed away December 9, 2005. Beloved wife of the late Clemence J.; loving mother of Robert (Katherine), Carole (Bonifacio) Rivera and Ronald (Victoria); cherished grandmother of Laura (Michael) Murphy, James, Jason and Alex Nowakowski and Jonathan (Emily) Rivera; great-grandmother of Michael Murphy; dearest sister of Elaine (Herbert) Leavitt, Marlene (William) Jackson-Oviedo and the late Eleanore Schroeder and Eric (the late Inez) Schmidt. Visitation Sunday, December 18, 4 to 9 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3637 Golf Rd., Evanston, IL 60203. Will lie in state Monday, Dec. 19, 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery.
