Suddenly we’re up to our elbows in high-profile holiday blockbusters. Accordingly, a herd of leading men and ladies are burning holes in the red carpet.
We can hardly keep up with them here at RedEye Central Command, but we’re noticing a trend: Most stars are dazzling on their own, but not together (Is that a zipper we see, Mr. Mulroney?). Compare and contrast the fashion sense of the current group of actors fighting for box-office supremacy.
‘Tis the season to be judgmental.

Brit’s rep: All’s well
In the wake of the Nick and Jessica breakup, it’s hard not to be skeptical of Britney Spears’ marriage to Kevin Federline, but Britney’s rep insists that the couple is doing fine.
Leslie Sloane smacked down a report in In Touch Weekly magazine that the pop tart and her husband are on the outs.
“He and Britney are as normal as other couples; they fight and they make up,” she said, according to the Washington Times. “They are fine and happy.”
Meanwhile, Spears remains the most-searched person on Yahoo, the company said. Britney has topped the list for three of the past four years. 50 Cent came in second.
Surgery for Foxy
Foxy Brown says she hasn’t heard another person’s voice in six months and will have surgery early next year to restore her hearing. The rapper was diagnosed with sudden hearing loss in May while she was recording her album, she told reporters Thursday.
Friendly face
Julia Roberts is starring in a new role: as international spokesmodel for Italian fashion designer Gianfranco Ferre, people.com reports. The actress will appear in overseas ads (but not in America). “I love her smile: open, direct, inviting and at the same time captivatingly shy,” Ferre says, according to Fashion Wire Daily.
Mr. Modesty
Paul Giamatti was surprised to get a Golden Globe bid for his role as a boxer’s manager in “Cinderella Man,” but can’t imagine winning the trophy.
“I would say my chances would be–I wouldn’t give myself any chances. … I don’t see myself actually winning anything.”
