Helen Schleck, nee Van Hoof, age 86, of Evanston and formerly of Louisville, KY, Hilton Head Island, SC and Elmhurst, IL, passed away Thursday, Dec. 15 at Three Crowns Park, Evanston, beloved wife for 50 years of the late Raymond M. Schleck Jr.; survived by their children, Barbara (Gary Ropski), Charles (Elana), Mary Lucille (Dr. E.J.) Donnelly, Margaret (Jeffrey) Hutter, Raymond II (Ann) and John (Alison); and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Elizabeth, nee Schmitt, Van Hoof; and four sisters, Dorothy Smith, Mae Vandenberg, Anna Van Hoof and Elizabeth “Betty” Huss. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17 at the Sophia Chapel of Three Crowns Park, 2323 McDaniel Ave., Evanston, IL 60201. Interment private, Hilton Head Island, SC.
