Catherine E. Pernecke, nee Hartnett, age 92, beloved wife of the late Joe; loving mother of Nancy (late Steven) Willis, Mary Guthrie, Joan Pernecke (Joachim Skye) and the late Michael; grandmother of Tom (Jennifer), Nina, Andrew, Mariellen, Laura, Dan and the late Sarah; greatgrandmother of Madeline; beloved sister of Sister Norella, Maureen, Therese (Don) Rohan, the late Joe, Patricia and Loretta; fond aunt and great-aunt of many wonderful nieces, nephews and their families; a good friend and neighbor to countless others. She was loved by all who knew her and is remembered as a talented secretary, seamstress, Irish dancer, violinist, gardener, industrious worker and practical doer of good deeds. In accordance with her wishes she will be cremated. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006, 11 a.m. at Mercy Hall Chapel, 3701 W. 99th St., Chicago, IL.
