Walter M. O’Connor, age 88, Army veteran of WWII, loving husband of the late Ferne F., nee Fiscella; caring father of James (Catherine), Kathleen Buesch, Stephen (Marcia) and Janice (William) Murray; grandfather of Casey and Jimmy O’Connor; dear brother of Gertrude (William) Joyner and the late Fr. James, Margaret, Marie and Louise; fond uncle and great-uncle of many. Walter will be missed for his humorous jokes and jovial ways. He was a devoted member of Queen of All Saints Basilica of which he and Ferne were founding members. Funeral Wednesday, 9:30 a.m., from the Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero Ave., to Queen of All Saints Basilica for Mass at 10 a.m. Entombment All Saints Mausoleum. Visitation Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
