An elderly woman and her son, found dead in their Logan Square home Monday, died partly from exposure to the cold, a Cook County medical examiner said Tuesday. Neighbors said Mary Calcagno, 92, and Charles Gaudin, 63, were friendly but kept to themselves, so they did not think anything was amiss. In recent weeks, there have been at least three cold-related deaths.
