– With the networks racing to make programming available for iPod viewing, the Sci Fi Channel has gotten ahead of itself with the premiere of “Sci Fi Inside: Battlestar Galactica.” The half-hour special premiered on iTunes on Thursday before its Jan. 2 cable airing. The telecast serves as a lead-in for the winter premiere of “Galactica,” which stars Edward James Olmos, on Jan. 6.

– David Eigenberg, who played Miranda’s boyfriend Steve on HBO’s “Sex and the City,” has signed up to do a play at the Victory Gardens Theater. Eigenberg will star in the Midwest premiere of Melanie Marnich’s comedy “The Cradle of Man,” which will replace a postponed Kristine Thatcher work originally slated for that slot. The show begins March 24.

– Gwen Stefani confirmed she is indeed pregnant while performing Wednesday at a concert in Ft. Lauderdale, People.com reported.

– The Walt Disney Co. said Thursday that the Chinese government has approved the release of “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” in China in spring 2006.
