Dolores E. Nosek, 84, Amelia Island, FL, wife of Frank J. Nosek for over 59 years, passed away Friday, December 23, 2005 at the Morris Center of Community Hospice in Jacksonville, FL, following a lengthy illness. A nativce of Fairview, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Frank O. and Claire Farrell Smith and lived in Lisle, IL for 30 years, Yorkvillem IL for five years and on Amelia Island since June 1991. Mrs. Nosek was a homemaker, an avid reader, loved flowers and enjoyed shopping. Survivors include her husband, Frank J. Nosek; two daughters, Mary K. Schwartz and Linda D. Nosek, all of Amelia Island; a brother, Dr. Frank J. (Becky) Smith of Williamsburg, VA; her loving Holy Terrier, Holly and cats, Maggie and Tiger. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Burgess Chapel of Oxley-Heard Funeral Home, with Rev. Fr. Brian Eburn, Pastor of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Bosque Bello Cemetery in Fernandina Beach. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
