Thomas S. Moore, M.D., age 83, of River Forest; beloved husband of Jane E., nee Friedrichsen and the late Margaret Mary “Peggy”, nee Lavin; loving father of Thomas S. (Kathleen), Marianne, M.D., Kathleen, John “Gerry” (Noreen), Jim, Gina (Michael) Carter, Michael (Angella Ahn) Moore and the late Peggy Moore; devoted grandfather of Carey, Brendan and Molly Moore, Katie, Matthew and Brian Moore, and Elizabeth and Brian Carter. Graduate of St. Ignatius class of 41′. For over 45 years, Dr. Moore served as a Surgeon and former Chief of Staff at Elmhurst Hospital. He also was an Adjunct Professor of Medicine, Loyola University School of Medicine and an active participant in project Hope which brings medical care to world impoverished countries, Visitation Monday, 1 p.m. until time of Mass 3 p.m. at St. Vincent Ferrer Church, Lathrop and North Aves., River Forest, IL. Private interment St. Michael Cemetery, Wheaton, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to Project Hope or the Salvation Army are appreciated.
