James Reid, age 78, of Glen Ellyn, beloved husband of Shirley, nee Larsen; loving father of Gayl (Nick) Zuardo, Dave (Linda), Mark and Scott (Karen), Heidi (Randy) Horbacz and Patti (Jan Belzer) Reid; devoted grandfather of Tony (Becky) and Joe Zuardo, David Jr. (Lisa) Reid, Laura (Jerry) Fink, Marcie (Chris) Anetsberger, Mike (Jamie) Reid, Justin (fiancee Jamie Llorens) Reid, Corrin (Mike Michuda) Reid, Brad (Cathy) Reid and Valerie Reid, Jeff and Chris Horbacz; great-grandfather of Joey, Riley, Collin and Alec Zuardo and Andrew Fink. Preceded in death by one sister, Edith and two brothers, George and Ed. Visitation Friday, 3 to 9 p.m. at Knollcrest Funeral Home, 1500 S. Meyers Rd. (3 blks S. of Roosevelt) Lombard. In state Saturday, 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Westmore/Meyers and Roosevelt Road, Lombard. Interment private.
