They’re just some of this year’s most clever or persistent schemes used by spammers and scammers to overload your inbox with junk e-mail. America Online has blocked more than half a trillion spam messages in 2005, or 1.5 million per day.
The hot trend is to disguise mail as messages from friends or legitimate groups, but “porn is passe,” says an AOL spokesman.
