Why are so many of Oprah’s Book Club minions distraught over the possibility that James Frey may have fabricated the events in his gripping memoir “A Million Little Pieces”? My definition of a writer is someone who lies for a living. Is Frey not a writer? To the millions of Midwestern housewives who will undoubtedly undergo years of psychological therapy for the emotional damage incurred on account of Frey’s betrayal, I have three words:
