This is regarding “CTA wastes fuel with too many bus stops,” a letter to the editor from reader Sean Siekkinen (Voice of the people, Jan. 7). I disagree with him about bus stops. Everyone doesn’t live on a bus line. Many people have to walk two or three blocks before they get to a local bus stop.

As for me, I’m unhappy with the express buses on Irving Park Road and Western Avenue that go by with only three or four passengers. We don’t need express ones in the middle of the day. These bus drivers have a joy ride passing everyone up because we aren’t at a busy intersection. Many times we wait 20 minutes for a local, while two express buses run by.
