The Chicago Tribune is making several changes in its reporting on investments. A major change involves stock listings. The Tribune now publishes in the Saturday Business section a complete list of the closing prices of New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq stocks and major mutual funds.
On Sunday, the section will now carry only a weekly wrap-up of the top stocks, mutual funds and other information on a new page within “Your Money” called “Taking Stock.” The page will also carry the weekly “Ticker Talk” column and the wrap-up on the region’s Top 50 companies, both formerly found on Page 3.
More detailed information on stocks is available at chicagotribune.com, where readers can get much more complete data. Readers can also get updated stock quotes via a new toll-free number, (800)555-TELL (8355). Information on how to use the number can be found on Page 9.
