Chicago: Early morning temperatures over the fresh snow cover to the west and north held between 10(degrees)-15(degrees). Partly cloudy skies combined with SW winds warm temperatures into the lower 40s south/downtown. Deeper snow cover north and west holds highs in the mid 30s. Winds shift NW by evening.
