Jay-Z and Nas, whose beef was one of rap’s biggest feuds, reportedly have reached a deal that would make them business partners. The New York Times says the deal involves profit-sharing on Nas’ albums by Sony and Def Jam.
But a book by Nas’ ex-girlfriend, Carmen Bryan, might just rain on the party. Carmen, the mother of Nas’ daughter, is dishing on the rapper’s infidelity–as well as her own with Jay-Z–in “Sex, Drugs and Hip-Hop–Oh, and Did I Mention Love?”
According to mtv.com, Carmen told King magazine: “We had an argument, and he was like, ‘I’m a king, Carm. Do you know how many girls would love to be in your shoes right now?’ That was his favorite line. Way after we kind of broke up, I asked him about Lil’ Kim, Eve, Mary J. Blige. The only one Nas ever admitted to dating was Mary.”
As for her own relationship with Jay-Z, Carmen says: “I was so in love with Nas at the very beginning, I couldn’t even look at another man. But it began to fade. I guess I really took notice to it when I took Jay-Z’s phone number.”
