Rev. Al Sharpton wants an apology from Cartoon Network for an episode of “The Boondocks” in which Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. says the n-word. The network countered with a statement saying the episode “in no way was meant to offend or ‘desecrate’ ” King’s name. Sharpton said he appreciates “Boondocks” creator Aaron McGruder’s achievements but said the King episode was “over the line.”
