– Is it possible that David Krumholtz of “NUMB3RS” is the same actor who played the elf Bernard in “The Santa Clause”? –Daphne-Ann Hayes, Parrish, Fla.

Not just possible, it’s a fact. Krumholtz had the role in both the original 1994 movie and its 2002 sequel, the aptly named “The Santa Clause 2.”

– We are wondering what happened to the program “Kojak” with Ving Rhames. We enjoyed it more than the original version with Telly Savalas. –Karen and Toby Hiller, Orcas, Wash.

USA Network decided not to continue the update of the police detective series beyond one season. However, Rhames isn’t hurting for work, as usual; he’ll be back with Tom Cruise in the movie “Mission: Impossible III” in May, and he also has a Prohibition-era drama titled “Idlewild” slated for release in theaters this year.

Very soon, as a matter of fact. The first year of the ABC medical drama is scheduled to make its DVD debut Feb. 14.

– I used to love the show “My So-Called Life,” starring Claire Danes. Is it available on DVD or VHS? –Natalie Weir, Columbus, Ohio

A DVD set containing all 19 episodes of the critically hailed ABC show, which was produced by Edward Zwick and Marshall Herskovitz (“Once and Again,” “thirty-something”), was released in 2002. VHS editions, compiling a couple of episodes in each volume, came out in 1999.

Sure … right now, if you’d like. Originally shown by CBS, the Jane Seymour program is on the A&E Home Video label, with each of its six seasons available in an individual boxed set as of last year.
