Don Wycliff’s column on the detention of Bridgeview citizen Muhammad Salah and on the overall dearth of Palestinian voices in the American press is long overdue. Like many other Americans who empathize with the Palestinians, I have grown accustomed to sighing and shaking my head when reading editorial pages. There is something that we are missing–it’s a balanced perspective, one that moves away from the tired rhetoric about Palestinian “attacks” and Israeli “retribution.”
