Overtures to the underbanked
“Opportunities in Underbanked Consumer Markets” presentation by Jennifer Tescher, director of the Center for Financial Services Innovation, at a meeting of the Chicago Financial Advertisers.
The event begins with networking at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday at Maggiano’s, 111 W. Grand Ave. Lunch is at noon, with the presentation from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m.
The Center for Financial Services Innovation has sponsored research on stored value cards, alternative delivery channels like employers and retailers, and strategies such as tax preparation combined with savings products to provide underbanked consumers with financial services.
The cost to attend is $30 for students, $40 for members and $50 for others.
