This is regarding “Energy-saving technologies are years away; Bush’s proposals welcomed, criticized” (News, Feb. 2). As cures for our national addiction to oil, the article’s authors list hydrogen-fueled cars, expanded ethanol production and advanced batteries, all years in the future. But they fail to mention the easiest energy-saving technology of all, available right now to almost everyone.
