This is regarding “Stirring farewell with a measure of politics; More than 10,000 mourners, including 4 presidents, turn out to honor Coretta Scott King in Georgia” (Page 1, Feb. 8). As my brothers and sisters celebrated the life of our beloved Coretta Scott King, at her funeral, some of them took the time to stand at the pulpit and criticize our country’s war in Iraq.
How dare they!
To take a cheap political shot at our president, who graciously accepted the invitation to attend the mass and funeral, was callous, mean-spirited and even vicious.
