For those of you who think movie superheroes have never looked enough like comic-book superheroes, get ready for “Ultimate Avengers: The Movie.” It’s out Tuesday for $19.98.
“Ultimate Avengers” is the first of eight direct-to-DVD superhero animated projects from Marvel Studios and Lions Gate Home Entertainment.
The projects are made for “less than $5 million apiece,” said Steve Beeks, president of Lions Gate. “But we’re producing them in a way that they’re going to look like they’re much more expensive.”
