The spat between Shani Davis and Chad Hedrick has made me thankful that speedskating only comes to the attention of the U.S. public once every four years. After the Olympic flame in Turin is extinguished, we will no longer be regaled with stories of these two boorish athletes and their super-sized egos. It can’t happen soon enough.
